Lifetime Nikiski resident Robyne Renae Johnson died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, in a car accident on her way to Anchorage. She was 16.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Nikiski. Lee Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kenai Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
Robyne was born Sept. 1, 1984, to Blake and Rosi Johnson at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She attended school in Nikiski and was a sophomore at Nikiski High School.
Robyne was very active in many school activities, such as student council. She also enjoyed playing basketball, soccer and volleyball. Robyne's greatest love of all was playing softball for Kenai Little League.
"Robyne loved and touched so many of her friends and family, whom she will be deeply missed by. God be with you, Robyne," her family said.
Robyne is survived by her parents, Blake and Rosi Johnson of Nikiski; sister Raenell; brother Richie; and many extended family members out of state.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Robyne Johnson Memorial Fund, c/o Kenai Little League Softball, P.O. Box 2745, Kenai, AK 99611. Proceeds will go toward a Kenai Little League Girls Softball scoreboard in memory of Robyne.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
