ERA executive to speak at Kenai Chamber lunch

Mike LeNorman of ERA Aviation will be the guest speaker at today's Kenai Chamber of Commerce luncheon at noon at Old Town Village Restaurant. The public is invited to attend.

Hospice to hold open house today

Hospice of the Central Peninsula is holding an open house at its new office, 312 Tyee St. in Soldotna, from noon to 4 p.m. today. The open house is in honor of National Hospice Month and gives the community an opportunity to visit the hospice office, meet the staff, enjoy refreshments and obtain information on hospice programs and services.

Entrepreneur seminar offered

The Small Business Development Center is offering a seminar entitled "Opening the Door to Entrepreneurial Success" from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Red Diamond Center. The cost is $15. For more information and registration, call Lou at 262-7497.

CARTS monthly meeting held today

The monthly meeting of the Central Area Rural Transit System Inc. Advisory Partners will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the CARTS office in the old "Bus Barn" building at 43530 Kalifornsky Beach Road. The meeting will provide CARTS new ridership information and show the new community bus. The Interagency Council will meet Friday at noon at CARTS. There will be no December meeting. Regular meetings will resume Jan. 17.

Free legal clinic offered

A free legal clinic, "Pro Se Divorce/Custody," will be offered at 6 p.m. today at Kenai Peninsula College. The clinic is designed to teach people how to file their own paper work. For more information, call the Alaska Pro Bono Program Inc. at (907) 565-4300 or toll free at 1-888-831-1531.

Council work session to address signs

The Soldotna City Council will hold a work session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at city hall. Representatives from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Pubic Facilities will be on hand to talk about the right-of-way issues along the Sterling Highway through town. Dialogue about Sept. 11 to be held

Community members are invited to an informal conversation about Sept. 11 and its aftermath to be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at River City Books in Soldotna. The recent terrorist attacks continue to have far-ranging effects for individuals, the nation and the world. The purpose of this gathering is to encourage public dialogue in which people can respectfully share their thoughts and feelings. Resource conservation meeting planned

The Kenai Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development District will hold its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday at 110 Trading Bay Drive, Suite 160, in Kenai. the meeting is open to the public, and all interested people are invited to attend. For more information, call 283-7493, extension 106.

KDLL board meeting to be held

KDLL's monthly board meeting will be held Thursday at the KDLL studio in the Economic Development District Building at Mile 14 Kenai Spur Highway. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
