PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Started on the NASCAR Busch Series when he was 17 and still in high school ... Drove for Ray Evernham last year, but moved over to the No. 7 Dodge, a joint venture between Jim Smith and Evernham, this season. Fired two weeks ago by Smith after crew chief Tony Furr walked out in the middle of the race.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: When he won a Busch Series race at Milwaukee in 1999, he became the youngest winner in that series' history at 18 years, 10 months and nine days. ... He is a three-time state and two-time world go-kart champion.
