A helping of turkey is not missed on this plate of Thanks-giving side dishes. Broccoli Bake can be spooned onto plates like pudding or cut into wedges like pie.

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped
broccoli, cooked according to package
directions, and drained
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise (do not use low fat)
3 large eggs, well beaten
1 small onion, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 to 2 drops Tabasco
1/4 grated Parmesan cheese
Over medium-high heat, melt butter or margarine in medium saucepan; whisk in flour, stirring constantly. Add milk and continue to whisk until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat. Stir mayonnaise into milk mixture, then add eggs. Mix until smooth and well blended. Stir in onion, salt, pepper and Tabasco and mix well. Fold in broccoli.
Pour mixture into a lightly greased deep-dish 9 1/2-inch pie pan, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until set. Serves 8.
