Holiday bazaar scheduled

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans annual holiday bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Star of the North Lutheran Church, 216 N. Forest Dr. in Kenai. Handmade crafts, candies, jams/jellies, baked goods and holiday decorations will be available. Proceeds will support mission work. It is open to the public. Annual Thanksgiving dinner

Breakfast, turkey shoot scheduled

The First Baptist Church of Port Nikiski will hold a complimentary breakfast and high powered riflery paper turkey shoot at the Snow Shoe Gun Club at 8 a.m. Saturday. Six butterball turkeys, a one night stay at the Diamond M Ranch Honeymoon Suite and a $25 gift card to the Bear's Den Family Restaurant are up for grabs to the top shooters. Mexican dinner and auction fund raising event

From 5-8 p.m. on Saturday youth from North Star United Methodist Church in Nikiski will hold a Mexican diner and Parcel Post Auction to fund raise for their June trip to Mexico to help build homes for area residents. Every man's battle informational meeting

From 1 to 3 p.m. on Nov 22, Jason Martinkus, EMB Director for New Life Ministries, will be discussing Every Man's Battle and the Sexual Integrity Issues, as well as developing a local Every Man's Battle Support Group at the Peninsula Grace Church, 19.5 K-Beach Rd. Women's prayer group meets for breakfast

The United Methodist Church of the New Covenant in Kenai hosts a women's prayer and share group at 7 a.m. Mondays at Charlotte's Restaurant in Kenai. It is open to all women.

New reverend installed

Rev. Tim Tolar was installed as the first pastor of St. Luke Lutheran Church of the Unaltered Confession in Kenai by Bishop James Heiser of the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of North America. The church worships at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Salvation Army Worship Center.

Funny River Road Church of Christ

At 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday the Funny River Road Church of Christ, 1/4 mile Funny River Rd. will hold services. Lessons presented by Nathan L. Morrison are 'Essentials Of Acceptable Prayer' and 'The Spirit Of Past, Present, & Future.'

Group gathers for support

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group. Attendees are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.
