Willie Nelson to sing for food

WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) -- Part-time Maui resident Willie Nelson will perform at a concert Saturday at the War Memorial Stadium to benefit the Maui Food Bank. Admission is free, but those attending are asked to bring a canned good, a nonperishable food item or make a monetary donation to the Maui Food Bank.
The theme of the concert is ''In the Spirit of Unity, a Maui County Thanksgiving.''
Mayor James Apana said he hopes the event will strengthen the bonds within the community.
A portion of the program will be dedicated to thanking military personnel and Maui County veterans as well as police, firefighters and emergency workers.
