Famous Basketball Troop Rolls Into Town

Harlem Globetrotter Legend CURLY NEAL along with members of the 2004 Harlem Globetrotters & Comedy Basketball Stars will be coming to the Peninsula for the first time in many years for a fun and exciting Charity Basketball Game on Friday, November 19, 2004 at Kenai Central School Gym at 6:00pm

The evening promises to be a fun filled family event!!!

In addition to a comedy filled evening of basketball, during game, one of the celebrities will be speaking to all of the local youth regarding staying in school, drug and alcohol prevention, and choosing the right direction in life.

The event is a benefit for the Kenai Firefighters who are raising funds for essential new training techniques for area Firefighters. Additionally, the funds raised go towards providing scholarships for High School Students going to college, preferably majoring in the medical profession (i.e. Nursing and "EMS- Emergency Medical Staff", etc.) The emphasis behind this is to add more potential, qualified staff to the department.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to see the magical basketball comedy and tricks of these amazing basketball superstar legends sure to entertain children and adults alike. Tickets are $15 in advance for 1 adult or 2 children under 12 and are available by calling 283-3003 or by visiting the ticket office located at the Merit Inn in Kenai.
