Work parties target cabins

The Kasilof Regional Historical Association is hosting work parties to help restore historic cabins. Work parties begin at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at the McLane Center on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Immunization clinic canceled today

The weekly walk-in immunization clinic planned for today at the Kenai Public Health Center has been canceled. The clinics will resume Monday For more information, call 335-3400.

Garage sale helps Africa needy

A garage sale will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s old church at the corner of Fireweed and Redoubt avenues in Soldotna to benefit the Heifer Foundation, which donates a farm animals to families in Africa.

LaLeche League to meet

“Coming home with baby” will be the discussion topic of the LaLeche League at its 11 a.m. meeting Friday at 141 Trumpeter Ave. in Soldotna. For more information, call Olga at 260-2665.

Soroptimist board meeting set

Schizophrenia to be discussed

Kenai Peninsula College will host a presentation on schizophrenia and schizo-affective disorders by Sadie Moore, a mental health consumer advocate, at 5 p.m. Friday in Room 132. It is open to the public.
