Reader: Know how your legislators are voting

I urge each and every voter on the Kenai Peninsula to log into the Legislative Web page located at www.legis.state.ak.us/basis. Once there, use the search function to find HB2001, the new oil and gas tax rate bill, which started out as Gov. Sarah Palin's ACES plan.

When the bill comes up, scroll down until you see action 1611, then read each and every action from this point on. You will be able to see how our legislators voted on this important issue.

Regardless of how you feel on the issue, you need to keep yourself informed as to how our legislators are representing your interests.

An informed voter is a powerful voter.
