Where's the 'We' in 'I'?

Quote from Lisa Murkowski in the Peninsula Clarion Tuesday 9, 2010: "I think so much about representation is trusting me to do what I think is the right thing."

That is the biggest bunch of self-centered, egotistical garbage I have ever heard. Let us just give the definition of representation: the act of representing; standing in for someone or some group and speaking with authority in their behalf.

Am I wrong to assume that this means representing them as to their wishes? So for her to say we need to trust her to do what she thinks is right is insane. I say we need to trust that she will do what we (the people) think is right.

This is exactly why I didn't vote for her. We tell her how to vote, she does what she thinks is right, we tell her not to run, well then she does what she thinks is right. I not sure about everyone else in this great state but I want my U.S. Senator to represent me/us, how we think is right. I don't give one care what she thinks is right. She was/is elected to vote as to what we think is right. For her to blatantly say: trust her to represent how she thinks is right is terrifying.

She's just like all the rest who have lost sight that their job has nothing to do with what they think and everything to do with what the voters think. Good Job, Alaska. We now will get what we get and deserve every bit of it by voting this woman in who thinks all that counts is what she thinks is right. This is not a dictatorship, Lisa.
