FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A daughter and her mother-in-law were arrested after allegedly stealing more than $7,000 of goods from a department store, Fairbanks police said.

Officer David Elzey said the two loaded carts full of items and left through the front doors of Kmart Saturday while an accomplice who worked at the cash register knowingly let them.

''They took the stuff right out the front door,'' Elzey said.

Danielle N. Webb, 30, and Linda F. Webb, 49, were arrested Sunday morning after security workers received a tip, Elzey said.

Merchandise was recovered from two homes in the Fairbanks area. The stolen items included toys, clothes, cameras, compacts discs and DVDs, police said. All the merchandise was returned to the store.
