Holiday nutrition classes offered

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Services will offer a six-week series of holiday nutrition classes at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank through Dec. 16.

Colleen Deal will teach classes on how to prepare holiday gifts and foods, including appetizers, drinks, salads, breads, main dishes and desserts. For more information, call 262-3111.

Disabled vets to meet

The Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 5 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the old NAPA building in Kenai. Health and pension issues will be discussed. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Tickets still available for NRA banquet

Tickets are still available for the Friends of the NRA banquet and auction to be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Dinner will be catered.

Proceeds will benefit individuals and groups to teach firearm safety. Tickets are available at Gator Guns.

Wolf to hold town hall meeting

Rep. Kelly Wolf will hold a town hall meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Peninsula Borough Building.
