Church photos wanted

Is something special happening at your church? A fundraiser? Social? Study groups? The Clarion is encouraging central Kenai Peninsula area churches to send us a photo of your event to add to our Religion page.

A brief explanation of the photo, event and church, plus a contact name, address, phone number, who took the photo and when it was taken must be included.

Photos either can be color or black and white and may be e-mailed to news@peninsulaclarion.com, dropped off at our Kenai office at 150 Trading Bay or mailed to the Clarion at P.O. Box 3009, Kenai, 99611. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.

For more information, call Nancianna Misner at 335-1241.

Aglow to begin Bible study

Soldotna Day Aglow will start a 10-week Beth Moore video presentation Bible study titled “Believing God” on Jan. 3.

Classes begin at 10 a.m. every Wednesday in the Peninsula Christian Center at the corner of Cohoe Avenue and Farnsworth Boulevard in Soldotna. Participants are invited to come at 9:30 a.m. for fellowship and a coffee drawing.

In this study Moore explores what it means to know and truly believe in God by drawing from the “Heroes of Faith” in Hebrews 11 and examining the lives of Abraham, Moses and others who believed. Through their examples, women are encouraged to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from him.
