Stephanie Lee Arbelovsky and James Jacob Queen
Stephanie Lee Arbelovsky and James Jacob Queen of Anchorage were married in an afternoon ceremony Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna. Pastor Lee Moore officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Betsy Arbelovsky of Lake Jackson, Texas, formerly of Kenai. Stephanie wore a strapless ivory satin dress with contrasting champagne-colored satin ribbon, lace detail and Swarovski crystal beading.
She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies with dendrobium orchids and wore white orchids in her hair. Lacey Wisneiwski of Kenai served as the maid of honor. Alena Shupp, Tessa Rhyner formerly of Kenai, Rachel Shanley of Rochester, N.Y., Jennifer Baylson of Princeton, N.J., and Ben Arnold of Westchester, N.Y., were the bridesmaids.
The bridesmaids wore geranium-colored silk tea length dresses and carried bouquets of lime green orchids, eggplant callas, and fuschia-colored dahlias. They also wore 'James Storey' orchids in their hair. Amber Arbelovky was the flower girl.
The groom is the son of Don and Judy Queen of Nikiski. James wore his own tuxedo and an ivory vest and tie. He wore a white mini-calla boutonniere with a dendrobium orchid.
Russell Queen, the groom's older brother, was the best man.
Ryan Bills of Anchorage, Chris Arbelovsky, bride's older brother of Kenai, Ryan Miller of Vancouver Wash. and Travis Lehl of Nikiski served as groom's men.
Cody Arbelovky was the ring bearer and ushers included Zeke Steele of Idaho, Seth Taurienen of Nikiski and Brian Okumura of California.
The wedding reception was held at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.
Joining the couple on their special day were honored guests grandparents, Frank and Ardith Arbelovsky, Quindell Queen and Helen Hargis-Coble of Nikiski.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Zihuatanejo, Mexico where they went scuba diving and relaxed on the beach.
