Question: Who's the new guy?
Answer: Hello Kenai Peninsula. My name is Brandon Anderson and I am a sergeant with the Alaska State Troopers stationed in Seward. I am stepping in to take up the challenge of writing this weekly piece that had been handled so adeptly by Trooper Chad Goeden.
Trooper Goeden is off to Nome to advance his Bering Ice Bridge studies. I welcome your questions about anything that we as troopers deal with, but I am not very good with personal advice.
I will do my best to draw from my 15 years experience with the Department of Public Safety in various capacities and locations to make this worthwhile. So if you have a question, please send it to me care of this paper or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the meantime, I will use this space to let you know that the troopers are interested in a fascinating and very challenging career with out agency. Please visit the website under Alaska State Troopers and go to the recruitment link.
If you have questions you would like to ask a trooper, send them to Alaska State Troopers, P.O. Box 817, Seward, AK 99664 or e-mail them to Brandon_Anderson@dps.state.ak.us.
The Alaska State Troopers remind you to always wear your seat belt. It's the law.
