Aftershocks continue to rattle Interior

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Aftershocks from the 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Nov. 3 continue to rattle the Interior.

A quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.0 struck at 11:21 a.m. Monday, 44 miles east of Denali National Park, the Alaska Earthquake Information Center reported.

Another quake, with a preliminary 4.1 magnitude, occurred at 10:50 p.m. Sunday. It was centered 39 miles east of the Denali Park entrance.

Both quakes were felt as far away as Fairbanks.

There have been no reports of injuries or damage.
