Kenai football team gives to others
On Nov. 16, the Kenai Central High School varsity football team, after winning the state championship, participated in United Way's Day of Caring by helping Forget-Me-Not Care Center. The team members swept our parking lot, cleared windows, weeded our patio and garden area and cleaned two of our smaller vans.
With their boundless energy, they probably would have done our big van also if it had not been out delivering seniors to their homes. Forget-Me-Not would like to thank these young men for all their hard work and cheerful spirits. The center would especially like to thank the coach for encouraging the team to give back to their community by taking part in United Way's Day of Caring.
The whole community should be proud of these young men.

Nursing students say thanks
On behalf of the students participating in the Weber State Nursing Program, Soldotna Campus, we would like to thank the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 10046. The ladies were very generous in donating funds toward our textbooks for this school year. The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 10046 also has been supportive of the Weber State Nursing students' Soldotna campus in the past by giving out scholarships.
Your donations have helped more than you know in getting us all one step closer to receiving RN degrees.
