The school is selling sweatshirts for $18 through Friday.

The third grade holds a sale every Thursday this month. Available items include snacks, pencils, erasers and other fun supplies, all for $1 or less.

A sixth-grade choir and band concert will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 in the gym. Kindergarten through third-graders will perform the concert "Sights and Sounds of the Season" at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Soldotna High School Auditorium.

Mickey Nelson correctly guessed the amount of paper recycled by Ms. Haddix's class in October. It was more than 100 pounds.

The staff and students thank the Soldotna Lions Club for its recent donation of hats and gloves.

Title I will host a celebration of National Children's Book Week at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the school library.

There will be a Family Math and Science Night on Dec. 4.

The staff and students extend a special thanks to veterans Bill Frasher, Dennis Spindler, Leonard Ball and John Mills.

The Young Shoppers Club shopping dates will be Dec. 2 to 4. Volunteers are needed. For more information or to volunteer, call Corbi Aaronson at 262-7711 or Mrs. Horton in the school office.

The school is looking for Redoubt families who need help this holiday season. Forms are available at the school office and should be returned as soon as possible.

The food drive ends Friday. Donated items will be given to Redoubt families.
