The PTA thanks the staff members and parents who helped with Fun Fest. The proceeds for Fun Fest usually go to the teachers who hold an activity. However, this time, the teachers donated their proceeds to be applied to the funding for Artist in Residence for the school.

The PTA is sponsoring a parent orientation today. Maria Works will host. Interested parents or family members are encouraged to come in during the day, and Works will help with the equipment and display the Parent Resource Room.

The sixth-grade band and choir concert will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the gym.

Pictures from Ms. Courtright's fourth-grade learning field trips are featured on bulletin boards this month. Hands-on experiences at the Seward SeaLife Center, Carl Winn Nature Center, Exit Glacier and the Pratt Museum have helped students gain a deeper understanding of the geography and history of the Alaska Southcentral region.

Students who have done good deeds this week include: Sabrina Kelly, Sarah Kingsley, Josh Pavloff, Marcus Renfrow, Steven Steger, Rachel Amos, Dakota Dillon, Bree Harrison, Tim Price, O.T., Groat, Austin Hibbert, Haley Cunningham, Steve Endsley, Hunter Goff, Zoe Garoutte and Rachel Nill.
