Congratulation to the students who competed in the state swim meet. Catie Coursen came in 14th in the 500-freestyle. Tory Coursen came in 10th in diving. Nathan Grabowski came in sixth in the 200-freestyle and fourth in the 100-fly.

Junior high and high school students who would like to learn German are invited to an introduction meeting at Connections at 2 p.m. Thursday.

There is a new home-school group for Kenai-Nikiski area home-school families. The group is not affiliated with a particular home-school program and is nonreligious. There will be an organizational meeting at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. For more information, call Margaret at 283-9371.

The Alaska SeaLife Center will host a second home-school day for students in grades seven through 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13. For more information or to sign up, call Sandy at (907) 224-6306.

Book Clubs for November and December are available. Orders should be turned in as soon as possible to arrive before Christmas break.

There is an art contest for students in grades seven through 12. Scholarships are available for various art medium categories. Stop by the office or call Tanya for details.

Connections will be closed Nov. 27 and 28.

There will be an eligibility check for all high school sports Friday.
