Kenai Peninsula College Career Day is Friday.
On Monday, parents of juniors and seniors will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss after-prom and after-graduation activities. Junior parents will meet in the library, and senior parents will meet in the teachers' work room. Each group will elect a chair and committee members for the planning and sponsorship of the activities.
The staff congratulates Abby Kiffmeyer, who was named state swimmer of the year, and the cheerleaders, for taking first place among small varsity teams in the state cheerleading competition. Also performing at the state cheerleading competition were The Star Sensations, whose performance earned the team an invitation to perform at West High School in April.
The wrestling team took second place at the King of the Mountain Tournament in Seward. Senior Jeremy Kauffman was named wrestler of the week.
