Cook Inlet Academy

Posted: Wednesday, November 19, 2003

Preschool teacher Miss Becky attended the 2003 International Early Education Director's Conference in Atlanta. She enjoyed participating in various workshops and hearing vocalist Mary Rice Hopkins perform. The highlight of her trip, however, was spending time with others who share the same vision of early childhood education. Some attendees came from as far away as Brazil, South Africa and Bangladesh.

Miss Becky thanks Mrs. Rupp for taking her classes while she was away.

The parents thank all of those who helped provide the annual fall banquet this past Monday. The evening was a time to reflect on how God has blessed Cook Inlet Academy and continues to do so faithfully.

Students of the Week are Hunter Phillips, Andrew Barlow, Bryce Horton, Kelsie Leaf, Tiffany Smith, Dani Rehm, Tierra Little, Tiffany Smith, and all the preschool class for being good listeners and obeyers while their teacher was gone.

The volleyball team competes in the regional tournament this week in Ninilchik.

The junior high basketball teams have a home game against Nikiski on Thursday. The public is encouraged to come to the games.

There will be no school Nov. 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving.

Christmas music programs will be Dec. 8 for elementary students and Dec. 15 for secondary students.
