The students have continued their study of the Old Testament. They have learned about forgiving and showing kindness to others for Jesus's sake.

In the lower-grade classroom, students are studying the properties of matter: solid, liquid or gas. Students have been doing experiments with the changing forms of matter to illustrate the properties. In physical education, students are working on hitting a ball with their hand accurately.

The kindergartners have been getting ready for Thanksgiving by studying the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving. Students also have been keeping the beat to the tune with rhythm instruments.

The first- and second-graders have mastered 72 phonograms.

The school participates in the Pizza Hut Book-It program. Students meeting their monthly reading goals are rewarded with a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.

The preschoolers also are learning about the first Thanksgiving, the Old Testament prophet Samuel, the letter B and the number three.
