The students will begin a study of space and the solar system. Some of the week's activities will include making a model of the Earth and sponge painting what Earth looks like from space. The students also will study rocket ships and the class will make one.
The students have been learning practical life skills, such as how to pour milk, preparing and serving snacks, how to set the table and how to clean up after themselves.
To help students with their fine motor skills, scooping, transferring and spooning activities have been used in the classroom. These activities also help the students with their concentration and coordination.
For language, students are learning the phonetic sounds with the aid of sandpaper letters. Some students use language objects to explore phonetic sounds and while other students are matching them with words.
