Thanks to Sis Bolivar for orchestrating Dr. Phelan's 1, 2, 3 Magic training for the community. Thanks also to Gallery 25 and Mr. Ron for their contributions to Head Start.

The school is looking forward to its Thanksgiving fest and family gathering Monday at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Thanks to the Kenaitze Indian Tribe for the Thanksgiving baskets donated for Head Start families.

A free CPR and first aid training class for parents and guardians of Head Start students will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 12 at the PRISM Training Center on Marathon Road. To sign up, call Debbie or Sonja at 283-0707.

Classes are learning the letters T, K and E, the square shape, numbers three and four in English and Dena'ina, the color brown and the values of thankfulness and families.

In October, 32 percent of students had perfect attendance.

Student pictures will be taken during the morning Tuesday. Siblings and family members are welcome to join in.
