KPHA PeeWee C Tier III opens season

The Kenai Peninsula Hockey Association PeeWee C Tier III squad opened its season with two shutout victories Nov. 8 and 9 against the Big Lake Winter Hawks.

In the first game, goalie Matt Barrett made 15 saves in the 2-0 victory. Goals came from Matt Silvor, on assists from Josh Harvey and Ty Fuller, and John Michael VinZant, on an assist from Matt Fellman.

In the second game, goalie Dawson Pierson had 10 saves in a 9-0 victory. Matt Fellman and Ty Anderson both had two goals in the game. Assists on Fellman's goals came from Trevor Schaffner, Bryan Luze and Mike Griffin. Assists on Anderson's goals came from Spencer Walgenbach and Luze.

Other goals in the game came from Schaffner, Luze, JC Voth, VinZant and Mike Griffin. Other assists in the game came from Ryan Fusaro, Conner Hamman, Harvey, Schaffner, Voth and Fellman.
