JayLynn Raye Espinoza
JayLynn Raye Espinoza died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at her home in Soldotna. She was 3 1/2 months old.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Kenai City Cemetery after which a gathering will be held at the Espinoza residence. Pallbearers will include Steve Olds, Eric Mason, Tom Mason and Mike Shaffer.
JayLynn was born July 23, 2004, at Central Peninsula General Hospital to Jason Espinoza and Laura Mason.
"JayLynn was definitely a Daddy's girl," her mother said.
"Though JayLynn was with us for such a short time, she touched our lives deeply and will be sorely missed," said her grandma, "Mi-Mi" Denise.
"I feel blessed for the time we had to visit JayLynn," said her great-uncle, Steve Olds. "We'll see you in a little while, Angel Baby."
JayLynn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Raye Cheryl Espinoza; great-grandmother, Mary-Louise Olds; brother, Joseph Mason; great-grandfather, Henri Maillard; aunts, Lisa and Lori Espinoza and Cheyenne Gielorowski; grandfather, Joseph Gielorowski; and great-great-grandmother, Laura Lorraine Schmahl.
She is survived by her parents, Laura Mason and Jason Ray Espinoza of Soldotna; sisters, Shaleana Steger and Kayla Green, both of Soldotna; maternal grandmother, Denise Wolk of Kenai; maternal grandfather, Jody Wolk of Soldotna; paternal grandfather, Ray Greenhalgh of Kenai; maternal great-grandmother, Wanda Schmahl of Soldotna; maternal great-grandfather, Larry Wright of Soldotna; paternal great-grandfather, Ray Olds of Kenai; uncles, Eric and Thomas Mason, both of Soldotna, and Johnathan Mason and Raymond Greenhalgh, both of Seattle; aunts, Teresa and Vicki Espinoza, both of Kenai; great aunts, Heather Watts of Palmer and Debi Arness and Kay Faulker, both of Kenai; great uncles, Steve Olds of Kenai and James Watts of Palmer; great-great grandparents, Jack and Wanda Dornbush of Kasilof; honorary grandpa, Billy Sacaloff of Nikiski; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
