Musical set to vanish

The Nikiski High School drama department, under the direction of Joe Rizzo, will put on the production "The Last Vanishing Act" at 7 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 7 and 8 at the Nikiski High School Auditorium.

The period production is about a 1920's magician fighting the tide of change as movies replace live acts and Vaudeville. "The Last Vanishing Act" features magic tricks, including levitation.

The production, written by Rizzo, is a musical in two acts, with eight original songs by Bob Miles and Chandler Warner, choreography by Chris Morin and set design by Phil Morin.

Running time is one hour, 20 minutes, not including a 15-minute intermission. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 a person.
