Craft fair planned

The Peninsula Art Guild will have its annual arts and crafts fair at Kenai Central High School from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 and 28. There will be more than 200 venders.

All items will be handcrafted. There also will be food vendors for lunches or snacks. For the kids, Santa will visit Nov. 28 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Admission to customers is free and there will be plenty of parking spaces.

The Kenai Fine Art Center, located at 816 Cook St., across from the Oilers, Bingo Hall in old town Kenai; is changing it's Saturday business hours. Saturdays hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Kids' reading program continues

Triumvirate Bookstore in the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna is hosting a Frequent Reading Program.Kids may sign up at the bookstore, pick out one free book, a reading calendar and program rules.

Bookstore hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, call Rosie Reeder at 262-2908.

Senior center seeks art

The Soldotna Senior Citizens Center is seeking artists to display artwork at the center for a month at a time, beginning in 2010. Artists will be responsible for putting art up and taking it down.
