Lots to be thankful for

With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner we can all sit back and count our many blessings. When I look back and think of all the wonderful things that I have in my life, one that sticks out is the community we live in.

Two years ago this month my son Grayson was diagnosed with Auto Immune Hemolytic anemia. Our life was instantly turned upside down and until recently I didn't think we would have a normal life ever again. Like so many others in this community who are currently dealing with an illness, we received so many prayers and well wishes during Grayson's fight. This amazing community came out and gave so much, and for that I am truly thankful to each and every one of you.

I wanted to write this to help stress how important it was to be lucky enough to have a fundraiser organized for our family. It truly changed our lives. My son was able to receive care that the insurance company refused to cover, which resulted in an amazing road to recovery. I want everyone to know that every time you give to a family in need it is an answered prayer. You always hear the stories about the before, so today I wanted to write an after, and in this case it is a truly happy one.

Thank you again for supporting us and thank you for the support of other families who are in need this holiday season.
