Hokies upset Old Dominion

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Chrystal Starling scored 20 points and made key free throws down the stretch as Virginia Tech defeated No. 17 Old Dominion 68-62 Monday night.

Starling made 11-of-12 foul shots. Sarah Hicks added 14 points for Tech (2-0).

No. 21 Arizona St 62, Delaware St 42

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Amanda Levens scored 19 points to lead No. 21 Arizona State over Delaware State.

Levens scored the first nine points of the second half for the Sun Devils (2-0), helping them take a 40-20 lead.

The Hornets (0-2) were scoreless for the first 4:19 of the second half before Terrana Pyfrom scored two consecutive baskets. Delaware State got within 42-32 with 9:32 left in the game.
