Jack Roush

After finishing second four times in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series standings with Mark Martin, car owner Jack Roush was resigned to the idea he would never win the title. That's why he finds it difficult to celebrate Matt Kenseth's championship. He talked about the just-completed season and his plans for the future.

Question: You've finished second in the Winston Cup Series standings four times. Two of those title runs had controversial point reductions by NASCAR and you lost a Craftsman Truck Series title in the same manner. Do you now feel vindicated by Matt Kenseth's championship?

Roush: I don't feel vindicated, and I'm not satisfied. I guess I'm a little humbled and a little relaxed. It is a big thing. I am honored.
