Area residents appointed to federal boards

Five Kenai Peninsula Borough residents have been appointed to fill seats on the 10 Federal Subsistence Regional Advisory Councils.

The new appointees are Douglas Blossom, Clam Gulch; R. Greg Encelewski, Ninilchik; James R. Showalter, Sterling; Susan Wells, Kenai; and Fred Elvsaas, Seldovia.

The Regional Advisory Councils advise the Federal Subsistence Board on subsistence management regulations and policies and serve as a forum for regional public involvement in federal subsistence management.
