ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The Alaska Maritime Wildlife Refuge is getting a new manager.

Greg Siekaniec will replace John Martin who is retiring after 20 years in the job.

Siekaniec was formerly the manager of the Izembek National Wildlife Refuge near Cold Bay.

For the past two years he's worked as Chief of the Wildlife Resources Division in the agency's Washington D.C. office.

The Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge covers 4.4 million acres of offshore islands and rocks along most of Alaska's coastline. The headquarters of the refuge is in Homer, with offices at Adak and St. George.
