ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Wasilla woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with deliberately setting a fire that killed her 15-year-old son.
Suzette Welton, 37, was charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, attempted murder and arson. Alaska State Troopers said additional charges were pending.
Welton was arrested without incident at her home in Wasilla. She was being held without bail at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
The charges stem from a fire at Welton's home early on Sept. 15.
Samuel Welton, 15, died in the blaze. His 16-year-old brother and six-year-old sister managed to escape the burning house.
