Advisory council to hold meetings

Performers to hold auditions
The Kenai Performers will hold auditions for the musical, "The Wiz," written by William F. Brown with music by Charlie Smalls. It is based on the story "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," by Frank Baum. The Kenai Performers also are preparing characters and carolers for the holiday season. Those interested in reserving a Victorian a capella quartet to sing at a home or business or to hire Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, angels or the Grinch to personally deliver a package between Nov. 29 and Dec. 24 should call 283-3635.
Community school sponsors fair
The Kids Make-It-and-Take-It Craft Fair will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the multipurpose room at Soldotna Middle School, 426 W. Redoubt Ave.

Caregivers offer support program
The National Family Caregivers Support Program will have a training on elder abuse meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center.

Ice club plans fund-raiser
The Denali Ice Club will hold its annual Will Skate For Food fund raiser for the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna Sports Center.
The Soldotna Sports Center has donated the ice time for the show. People are asked to give as much as they are able to for admission.
Teen center to hold dance
A harvest dance is planned from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Teen Center, 227 Caviar in Kenai. Admission is $2, plus two cans of food, or $4 at the door. All area seventh- and eighth-grade students are invited to attend. For more information, call 283-3855 or stop by the center.
Senior center to hold blood drive
The Anchor Point Senior Citizens Center and the Blood Bank of Alaska Kenai Peninsula Center will hold the Anchor Point community blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
