Cynthia Marie Perkins
Anchorage resident Cynthia Marie Perkins died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at her home. She was 46.
A funeral service will be held at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Sister Bernie Dobson will officiate. Burial will follow at Anchorage Memorial Park, where Lou Clark, Andy Viray, Dhem Palma, Mike Tiedeman, Robert and Bennie will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Perkins was born Sept. 25, 1958, in Cordova. She lived in Cordova, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Seattle and Anchorage. She enjoyed writing poetry.
"Cynthia loved to laugh, sing and dance. She loved helping people in need and she loved her cats. She wrote poetry all through life. She loved Jesus with her whole heart. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 103," her family said.
Ms. Perkins was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Tiedeman; father, Fred Tiedeman; step-father, William Smith; sister, Nancy Schmidt; and brother, Chris Tiedeman.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah E. Yurman of Anchorage, Sharon Asp of Seattle and Sharon Rose Stevens of Alaska; sisters, Verla Clubb of Anchorage and Jean Nelson of Seattle; brothers, Fred Tiedeman of Washington, Lloyd and Mike Tiedeman of Hawaii, Bill and James Smith of Anchorage; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be given to the Rescue Mission, 2823 E. Tudor Road, Anchorage, AK 99507 or the Chugach Alaska Scholarship Fund.
Arrangements were made by Anchorage Funeral Home and Crematory.
