"The Mediation Process," a 40-hour basic course in mediation, will be offered Jan. 21-25. A three-day advanced course called "Resolving Environmental and Public Policy Conflicts" is scheduled for Jan. 28-30.
Trainers from one of the nation's leading conflict management firms, CDR Associates of Boulder, Colo., will teach both courses at the Kenai River Center, on Funny River Road in Soldotna.
Prospective participants for both courses must register by Dec. 15. Fees are $1,200 for the five-day program and $700 for the three-day program. Details about course content can be found online at http://www.mediate.org. For more information, call 283-9227 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
