The 23rd annual Christmas Comes to Kenai celebration, sponsored by the Kenai Chamber of Commerce, is today.
Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with cookies and hot chocolate served at the chamber cabin, courtesy of the Kenai Seniors. Santa arrives at 11:30 a.m., with the help of the Kenai Fire Department.
The fifth annual Electric Light Parade begins at 6 p.m. on the Frontage Road behind the chamber cabin and continues down the road to the senior center. The official lighting of the Christmas tree follows, along with the bonfire and singing of Christmas carols at the chamber cabin. The finale is the fireworks display beginning at about 7 p.m.
