The annual Tustumena 200 Sled Dog Race poster design contest has begun. The winners of the contest will be invited to ride in the ceremonial start of the race and the wining picture will be reproduced on the poster for the 2005 Tustumena 200. The second-place drawing will be used for the race program.

Entrants must be in grades one through six. One entry per student is allowed, the pictures must be original, with no computers, copies or tracing used. Crayon, markers or colored pencils are allowed. Pictures should show friendly competition, the humane care of sled dogs or musher-dog team involvement in the T-200.

All entries must be on 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper. The artist's name, address, city, phone, teacher's name, school and grade should be on the back written in pencil. Entrants are asked to not fold entries.

Entries should be submitted to Jersey Subs in Soldotna by Dec. 8. Winners will be notified by mail.
