Posted: Wednesday, November 24, 2004

The life skill this week is cooperation: working together toward a common goal or purpose.

Students are busy rehearsing for the holiday concert. It will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Kenai Central High School. Students will perform in pajamas and shoes (no slippers or robes.)

First-graders are sharing about their families in a family unit with Mrs. DeVolld and Ms. Renn. They also are studying money, time, calendars, weather and numeration in math.

Second- and third-graders are learning about the continent of Africa. In art, the classes are working with visual rhythm, unity within artwork, balance and nonobjective art. In science lab, students are focusing on what is soluble, cohesion and properties of water.
