Nikiski North Star Elementary

Rosemary Pilatti, band director, reports she has 16 fifth- and sixth-grade students in band: two students playing flute, four playing clarinet, two playing trumpet, four playing alto saxophone, one playing trombone and three drummers. The band program will run from November to March and there is a participation fee. There are school instruments to rent and scholarships are available for students who need financial help to pay for band. Call Mrs. Pilatti for more information.

Students in grades one through three will perform at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Nikiski Middle-Senior High School Auditorium. The theme is "A New-Fashioned Christmas." A three-piece combo will accompany the singers. Students will practice from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15 at the high school. Volunteers are needed Dec. 15; call Mrs. Pilatti to volunteer.
