The staff wishes all parents and students a happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you to Alaskan Bikers Advocating Training and Education (ABATE) for providing Thanksgiving turkeys and other holiday food items to 12 school families.
The lost and found will be emptied Monday.
The Holiday Kindness program is under way. Families who need help with Christmas this year should call Mr. Syverson as soon as possible. Monetary donations in any amount will be gratefully accepted. Complete information was sent home with students Friday and may be obtained by calling the school office.
The holiday canned food drive continues through Dec. 15. The school's goal is to collect 400 cans of food for the food bank.
Santa's Shop is coming Dec. 6 through 9. Complete information will be sent home soon. Parents who would like to help can call Teresa Williams at 260-8075.
The fifth- and sixth-grade band will perform a concert from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the school gym.
The fourth- through sixth-graders will present "The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree" musical at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Soldotna High School Auditorium. There is no charge. After school practices are scheduled next week. The schedule appeared in last Friday's newsletter.
The school will be closed to all staff and the public Dec. 19 through Dec. 31 for cricket extermination. Copies of the MSDS sheets (on the spray being use) are available at the school.
Yearbooks will be presold for $15 beginning today through Dec. 3 or $18 after Dec. 3. Order forms will be sent home today. Yearbooks will arrive in May.
Dec. 17 is Red and Green Day. All students and staff are invited to dress in Christmas colors and clothing.
