Soroptimist hold sweet fund-raiser

Soroptimist International of Kenai Peninsula is taking orders for See’s Candy. Proceeds from sales will help provide assistance to women on the Peninsula and the Young Women’s Conference.

Fair seeing green

The Kenai Peninsula State Fair will hold a money raffle. Tickets are $20 each. Three hundred tickets are being sold, with 15 payouts. The grand prize amount is $1,500. The drawing will be held Dec. 2 at a pasta feed and pie auction a the fairgrounds. Proceeds will benefit the fair.

Tickets are available at the State Farm Insurance office in Kenai, Ninilchik General Store, Deep Creek Sport Shop, Ninilchik Library, Twin Rivers Liquor, Kortney’s Koffee, Ninilchik Health, Wellness Center and Kenai Peninsula State Fair office. Fair trade crafts fund-raiser set

A Ten Thousand Villages sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna United Methodist Church on Binkley Street. Crafts from around the world will be available. Profits are returned to Ten Thousand Villages, which provides fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories. Wrestling camp takes it to the mat

The Skyview High School wrestling team will host a wrestling camp from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the school for beginning and intermediate wrestlers, in grades three through eight.
