Businesses help make veterans picnic success

The donations of time and financial support are sincerely appreciated. Your contributions were very instrumental in the success of our fourth annual Veterans on the Peninsula Picnic. It is this type of support that is so very important to show our veterans that they are remembered and appreciated.

Contributing service organizations included 40/8 Voirture No. 1539, American Legion Auxiliary No. 18, American Legion Post. No. 18, American Legion Post No. 20, AMVETS Auxiliary No. 4, AMVETS Post No. 4, DAV Chapter No. 5, Elks Lodge No. 2127, Elks Lodge No. 2706, Order of the Cotties and VFW Auxiliary No. 10046.

Contributing area businesses and individuals included the Albatross Lounge, Already Read Bookstore, Alyeska Sales and Services, Chinook Tesoro, Deep Creek Custom Packing, Deep Creek Sport Shop, Hutchins Chevrolet and Cadillac, IGA Country Foods, Koop Chiro-practor, Leslie Jordon, Lila Rozak, Mailboxes Etc., Ninilchik General Store, Petro Express, Safeway, Signatures Beauty Salon, Soldotna Senior Citizens, Spenard Builders Supply, The Travel Place and the Vagabond Inn.

Your donations were utilized to provide a memorable event to over 200 veterans and their families. On their behalf I sincerely offer your organization a heartfelt thank you. Your generosity is immensely appreciated, and best wishes for a successful future are offered.
