Recently the Friends of the Kenai Community Library held its annual dinner/raffle. As has been the case for more than a decade, the greater Kenai community demonstrated its support for the library and our efforts to enrich the programs and services it offers.
We are most grateful to the hundreds of individuals who purchased tickets and were directly involved in the event.
We particularly wish to highlight the participation and support of Senator Lisa Murkowski that made a measurable impact of the event's success.
As has been the case in prior years, the members and staff of Eagles Aerie No. 35255 provided the location and assistance that were critical to the overall effort.
Once again the Spur Highway Spankers generously provided excellent music for listening and dancing to complete the Saturday night program and bring the event to a close.
We thank you for your support and hope that it will continue in the upcoming campaign to accomplish the library expansion.
