My Dear Lord, today I again bow my head and pray
As I celebrate another beautiful Thanksgiving Day
This is another THANK YOU for all that you have done,
Especially for giving all of us your only baby Son
And I don't forget the many blessings I have received
These gifts you give me are what helps me achieve
You give my walk through life the value that gently flows
And I try to share it in ways that YOU want me to grow
Thank you Lord, for life's journey that opened the door
To being a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and more
For the family that surrounds me, for friends who care
I know without you none of them would be there
Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and New Years
I renew my awe and love for you and cry grateful tears
And I hope even my daily prayers will truly let you see
I'm so thankful for the love that YOU shower on me.

I'm thankful for the morning light,
a gorgeous sun and stars at night.
I'm thankful for the Heaven above
and for God's never-ending love.
I'm thankful for my abundant life,
three sons, a daughter, loving wife.
I'm thankful for each grandchild;
one great bunch God's compiled.
I'm thankful for our family tree,
and what each kin's meant to me.
I'm thankful for all their sacrifice;
some paid with the ultimate price.
I'm thankful for each U.S. troop;
soldiers, airman, and every group.
I'm thankful for each one serving;
"many thanks," each is deserving.
I'm thankful for being an American.
No other country's in comparison.
I'm thankful for our freedom won.
Just like before, it's still not done.
And now I'm thankful for this day,
family, friends, and the food buffet.
God is good; He's given much more
than I could list, or give thanks for.
