ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A light earthquake struck the east central region of Alaska Tuesday morning.
The quake occurred at 7:06 a.m. and had a preliminary magnitude of 4.2, the Alaska Earthquake Information Center said. It was centered 17 miles north-northeast of Paxson.
The quake was strongly felt in Paxson, but there were no reports of damage or injury.
