North Kenai resident Michael H. Kane died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at home. He was 59.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at North Star United Methodist Church. Pastor John Henry will officiate.
Mr. Kane was born March 21, 1943, in Gresham, Ore. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Alaska in September 1998.
Mr. Kane retired in 1997 after working as a technician in the banking industry.
He was a member of North Star United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing the Kenai River and golfing.
Mr. Kane is survived by his wife, Katherine E. Kane; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel H. Kane and Wanna Cheysobhon; daughter and son-in-law, Diane R. and Doug Eckholt; and grandchildren, Natalie A. Kane, Abigale J. Kane, JHenry D. Kane, Kyle D. Medick, Katelyn R. Medick, Catheleya Cheysobhon and Chris Cheysobhon.
Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Kane's name to the United Methodist Church Outreach Program, P.O. Box 8122, Nikiski, AK 99635.
