Pingpong offered

Pingpong is available to play for free from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays through mid-December at Redoubt Elementary School on West Redoubt Avenue next to Soldotna Middle School. Adults and children (at least 6 years old) and of any skill level are welcome.

Tables and equipment are provided by the Boys and Girls Club and the school. Players are asked to bring a paddle if they have one. Supplies may be limited.

LeeShore borad meeting slated

The LeeShore Center will hold its annual board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kenai Visitor's and Cultural Center, 11471 Kenai Spur Highway, Kenai.

Books sought for soldiers

The Soldotna Rotary Club is collecting paperback books to send in its rotary troop support packages.

Paperback books and/or financial contributions towards postage costs may be dropped off at the weekly club meetings at noon Thursdays downstairs at Mykel's Restaurant or by logging on to to contact a club member.
